Our Reviews
Pond Repair Pricing
At Midwest Pond Features, we offer professional pond repair services to ensure the optimal functionality of your pond. The cost of pond repair depends on various factors, and we aim to provide transparent pricing to our valued customers.
Here is an overview of our pricing structure and process:
Minimum Charge
$399
Our company offers pond repair services at a minimum charge of $399. This fee covers up to 2 hours of dedicated time for detecting and fixing the initial leak. It includes the expertise of our skilled technicians and basic materials required for minor repairs.
However, it’s important to note that fixing one leak does not guarantee the absence of additional leaks. There may be hidden leaks that can only be detected after running the pond for a period of time. If we need to return on a future date to address additional leaks, an “Additional Visits” charge will apply.
Overtime Charge
$150
If the detection process exceeds the initial 2-hour period, we will charge an additional $150 per hour for the extra time spent.
Additional Visits
$150
In some cases, certain issues may require multiple visits to complete the repair. For additional visits, there is a minimum charge of $150, plus an hourly rate of $150 thereafter.
Maintenance Requirements
If during the repair process we find that your pond requires extensive maintenance to accurately detect the leak, we may recommend a thorough pond cleaning. This step ensures a clean and optimal environment for effective leak detection.
Job-Based Quotes
Depending on the extent of the repair needed, we may provide a detailed quote for the entire job rather than charging on an hourly basis. This approach allows us to provide a comprehensive solution for complex repairs.
Please keep in mind that these pricing details serve as a general guideline, and the actual cost may vary based on the unique requirements of your pond.

Troubleshooting Your Leaking Water Feature
Is your water feature leaking?
Have you noticed the level of your pond is much lower than it should be? Are you having to add water several times a week? You might have a leak. There are two basic areas that your leak could be in, the pond or the waterfall. To figure out where your leak is, follow the instructions below
POND LEAK
- Turn off the waterfall for the day or 24 hours (Healthy fish will be ok for this short period of time)
- Fill the pond to its normal full level.
- Measure the level of the water in the pond.
- Check the water level at the end of the day or the next morning.
If the water does go down, let it continue to recede until it stops.
- The level that it stops at is where the leak is!
- Check the sides of the pond at that level for where the liner may be pushed down by rocks or plants.
- Pull up liner if needed.
If the water level didn’t go down at all, the leak is in the waterfall not the pond.
- Check the sides of the waterfall for places where the liner may be pushed down by rocks or plants.
- Pull up liner if needed and adjust rocks.
- Although uncommon, it is possible for leaks to happen from the plumping.
